Top 10 Cars With Heated Steering Wheels in 2022

Heated steering wheels used to be a sign of luxury in the auto industry. Now, it’s not. Then again, that has changed in the last decade or so. You can get a heated steering wheel when you buy a car today. There are times when it can even be found in lower trims. If you’ve never used it, it’s a great thing for people who live in colder places. We’ve put together a list of ten great cars with heated steering wheels, all of which can be yours for a meager price.

#1. 2022 Kia Soul Turbo

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $20,505
  • Engine: 2.0 l Regular Unleaded I-4
  • Transmission: CVT Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Five
  • Horsepower: 147 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 28 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway

There are a lot of toaster-shaped cars, but the Kia Soul is the best car with heated steering wheels. It has been around for a long time and has outlasted other vehicles that look like toaster ovens. As a subcompact crossover, the Chevy Trailblazer, Jeep Renegade, and Kia Seltos look more like classic cars now. But it hasn’t changed its size. Keep in mind that it’s still a weird cube. We liked it so much that we gave it an Editor’s Choice award. It has a four-cylinder engine that makes 147 horsepower, but Kia also makes an even more powerful 201-horsepower turbocharged engine. It makes the Soul even more fun to drive. For four adults to cruise in comfort, the boxy shape has enough space for their clothes and other things. To get all-wheel drive, you’ll need to look for another car. The Soul doesn’t have it. Not only does it not have standard driver-assistance features.

The Soul doesn’t expect many changes for 2022. One of the things that used to be in the shape of an oval is now gone, replaced by Kia’s new, futuristic logo. Almost every model now has a 10.3-inch infotainment screen with navigation. The base LX model, which starts at $29,995, has an 8.0-inch screen (previously 7.0 inches). In the LX model, you can get a Technology package that comes with automatic emergency braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Monitors. They all come with automatic temperature control for two separate zones as well as push-button start, wireless charging for your smartphone, and two more USB ports as standard. Unfortunately, the manual transmission is no more.

#2. 2022 Subaru Outback Touring

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $28,120
  • Engine: 2.4 l Intercooled Turbo Regular Unleaded H-4
  • Transmission: 8-Speed CVT Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Five
  • Horsepower: 260 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 22 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway

For Subaru’s Outback station wagon to be the best in a world where crossovers are the norm, it has had to look like an SUV while still having a typical station’s practicality and road manners wagon. It even made our list of the best things to buy in 2022. It feels more like a car than a bike when you get behind the wheel. It has a raised suspension and plastic body cladding that say “active lifestyle.” Buyers can choose between a turbocharged or non-turbo four-cylinder engine, both of which come with all-wheel drive. A big roof rack is an excellent place to put bikes or a kayak, but it doesn’t have the extra height of an SUV. It makes it easier to load and unload. The Outback formula has worked so well over the years that even luxury car companies have tried it. The Outback’s closest rivals are the Audi A4 Allroad and the Volvo V60 Cross Country, which start about $20,000 more than the Outback.

The Outback lineup will get a more rugged Wilderness model in 2022. This model has more ground clearance, a better suspension, Yokohama all-terrain tires, and a lot of other styling changes to show off its more brutal image, among other things. The Wilderness model also comes with the turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a roof rack that can hold 700 pounds, and water-resistant upholstery inside.

#3. 2022 Toyota Venza Limited

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $34,105
  • Engine: 2.5 l Gas/Electric I-4
  • Transmission: CVT Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Five
  • Horsepower: 219 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 40 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway

The Venza is still on the market in 2022 cars with heated steering wheels, its second year since it was revived for the 2021 model year. There have been no significant changes.

If you want to buy a car that is both stylish and fuel-efficient, Toyota’s 2022 Venza is a good choice. It’s smaller and less practical than other cars in this category, some of which cost less money. There are three electric motors in Venza’s hybrid powertrain, which gives it all-wheel drive and helps it get better gas mileage than cars with V-6 engines like the Honda Passport and the Nissan Murano. Toyota has a complete set of driver-assist features that come standard. Many modern features, like an electrochromic panoramic sunroof, are also available. The Venza’s interior is two-row, but there is enough room for passengers. The Hyundai Santa Fe and the Jeep Grand Cherokee have more space in the back.

#4. 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited

Best Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $26,195
  • Engine: 1.6 l Intercooled Turbo Gas/Electric I-4
  • Transmission: 6-Speed Automatic Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Five
  • Horsepower: 226 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 38 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway

To make a bold statement, Tucson is redesigned from top to bottom for cars with heated steering wheels in 2022.

Previewed by the Vision T concept at the 2019 LA auto show, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson has a bold new look that looks like it will change the compact-SUV market. The base model of the Tucson has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine like the one in the Sonata family sedan. There is also a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. Both have a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. All models are pretty well-equipped, and Tucson is one of the most stylish cars in its class. It has a lot of solid competitors, like the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4, and the Volkswagen Tiguan. On the other hand, the new Tucson has brought its A-game and won an Editors’ Choice award for 2022.

#5. 2022 Volkswagen Jetta

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $21,190
  • Engine: 1.5 l Intercooled Turbo Regular Unleaded I-4
  • Transmission: 8-Speed Automatic Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Five
  • Horsepower: 158 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 29 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway

Let’s not be fooled by the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta’s small size. It’s a very refined and roomy small car. While the VW isn’t as flashy as some of its competitors, like the Hyundai Elantra, it rides very quietly and smoothly. There isn’t much power under the hood, but it can be paired with a manual transmission, which gives the car a little more fun. People who want a more exciting driving experience will like the Jetta GLI, which we’ll discuss in a separate review. There are a lot of popular infotainment and active safety features in the standard Jetta, but to get the best ones, you’ll have to pay more. The 2022 Jetta might not be a fan’s first choice, but it should still be enough for most people for cars with heated steering wheels and seats.

As of 2022, the Jetta is getting a little makeover. It looks slightly different, has new standard and optional features, and gets a new engine from the VW Taos subcompact SUV. There’s a new engine in the Jetta that’s a lot more powerful than the one that came before. The old one made 147 horsepower. The new one makes 158 horsepower. The lineup also gets rid of the R-Line trim and adds a more sporty Sport model. Along with its unique look, it has 17-inch wheels and an electronically locked front differential. A fully digital 8.0-inch gauge cluster and other driver aids, such as automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring, are now standard on the base S model, as are more safety features.

#6. 2022 Nissan Sentra SR

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $20,635
  • Engine: 2.0 l Regular Unleaded I-4
  • Transmission: CVT Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Five
  • Horsepower: 149 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 29 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway

The 2022 Nissan Sentra is a stylish car in the small-car category, but it doesn’t have a lot of fun to drive. Anyone who wants to have some fun behind the wheel should look somewhere else. The Sentra is a good choice for people who want a lot of standard active safety features and comfortable passenger space in a cheap sedan that doesn’t look like it belongs in a rental car fleet. But unlike many of its competitors, the Nissan doesn’t come with a turbocharged engine or a hybrid powertrain and is in cars with heated steering wheels list. There’s also no manual transmission or all-wheel-drive option. SR models have 18-inch wheels and a more sporty suspension, but they do more to ruin the ride than improve it. Still, the 2022 Sentra looks good and comes with many features that many people like.

For 2022, the Sentra lineup has a few new options. There is now an All-Weather package that can be added to the SV trim. This package adds heated elements to the steering wheel, front seats, and outside mirrors. The SR trim can now be paired with the Midnight Edition package, which adds black exterior parts and unique interior accents to make the car look and feel different.

#7. 2022 Nissan Leaf SV

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $258,425
  • Engine: Electric
  • Transmission: Automatic Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: five
  • Horsepower:147 hp

The 2022 Nissan Leaf’s new price is a big part of its appeal, but it doesn’t have enough range to make it worth the extra money. When you buy the Leaf, it comes with a standard battery pack that can only go 149 miles. If you buy the Plus model, that battery pack can go 226 miles, which is better but not revolutionary. Some of the more popular electric cars, like the Chevy Bolt EV and the Kia Niro EV, come with more built-in range. The Leaf’s cabin is big and comfortable. It comes with many high-tech driver-assistance features, including a “semi-autonomous” mode. Despite all that, the Leaf isn’t as desirable or practical as cars like the Ford Mustang Mach E and the Tesla Model 3 in its class.

Make the CHAdeMO quick-charging port standard on all Leaf models this year. Make the ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode available on the SV Plus model. It is the first year that Nissan has made these changes. That’s the main thing, though. The price of the Leaf has gone down by a lot. The Leaf is the cheapest new electric car that you can buy. It costs just over $28,000 before state and federal tax rebates, and it starts at just over $23,000. All trims now cost between $4245 and $6545 less than last year. It is amongst the best cars with a heated steering wheel option.

#8. 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $38,690
  • Engine: 3.6 l Regular Unleaded V-6
  • Transmission: 9-Speed Automatic Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Seven
  • Horsepower: 287 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway

The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica has family transportation down pat. It’s practical, comfortable, graceful, and beautiful. It comes with either a regular V-6 engine or a plug-in hybrid engine, and it can be equipped with an all-wheel drive. The Pacifica’s refined road manners make it a pleasure to drive, whether you’re on a long interstate road trip or just taking your kids to the high school football game. It makes it a worthy winner of the Editors’ Choice award.

If you fold down the second and third rows into their built-in alcoves in Pacifica’s floor, the cargo space is huge. You’ll pay more for the base model of this van than you would for other vans like Kia Carnival and Honda Odyssey, but this is because the base model is marked with the Chrysler Voyager name, which we also review. There will be a lot of talk about SUVs and crossovers in the United States. Still, we’ll be over here talking about more practical minivans like the Pacifica.

#9. 2022 Jeep Cherokee

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $31,590
  • Engine: 3.2 l Regular Unleaded V-6
  • Transmission: 9- Speed Automatic Transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Five
  • Horsepower: 271 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 19 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway

For 2022, Jeep only has five different trim levels for the Cherokee, including the new X model. Otherwise, the small crossover doesn’t get any significant changes.

The 2022 Jeep Cherokee is starting to show its age, but it still has a lot of fans because of its off-road and lifestyle branding. Trail-ready versions of the Cherokee can go places that most of its rivals can’t. The Jeep Compass and the Ford Bronco Sport are smaller than the Cherokee. With its 4500-pound max-towing capacity, this car can also pull more than other vehicles because it can do that. Still, the Cherokee’s interior isn’t as attractive as the Mazda CX-5 or Hyundai Tucson, which have more attractive designs and materials. The Jeep comes with three engines that aren’t very good. The 2022 Cherokee has well-balanced handling and a smooth ride, but just because it has a seven-slot grille doesn’t mean it’s better than more modern cars from other manufacturers.

#10. 2022 Kia Optima EX

Car With Heated Steering Wheels

  • Price: $24,815
  • Engine: 1.6 l Intercooled Turbo Regular Unleaded I-4
  • Transmission: 8-speed Automatic transmission
  • Seating Capacity: Five
  • Horsepower: 180 hp
  • Fuel Mileage: 27 mpg in the city and mpg 37 on the highway

The 2022 Kia K5 is a family sedan, but its bold design and 290-hp engine hint at something sexier. Sure, the Kia Optima isn’t going to beat its long-running rival, the Honda Accord. Still, the K5 has many popular features and a low price that make it a good value. We even added it to our list of the best things to buy in 2022. Active safety and infotainment technology are standard on every model; the car has a roomy back seat that makes it look good inside. The K5 GT has a more powerful engine, and its tire-spinning antics will either draw or scare away people who want to buy it. The standard powertrain isn’t very bad, and it’s also the only way to get an all-wheel drive. Because the 2022 K5 has a driver’s seat that’s too high and ride isolation that’s hurt by the enormous available wheel and tire combo, it’s still an excellent sedan, even if it’s not for a family.

For 2022, all K5 models have Kia’s new logo on them, and a few new standard features come with the cars. Rear USB ports have been added to the LXS in 2022 cars with heated steering wheels. The GT-Line now has a base all-wheel-drive trim, making the system a $1600 option instead of part of last year’s $3700 package. Most important, the GT-Line and up now comes with a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the old 8.0-inch one. GT-Line models with a front-wheel drive now have a wireless smartphone charger on their center consoles. There are new 360-degree cameras on both the EX and GT. Power-folding mirrors on the EX and GT and front parking sensors on the GT.

The primary purpose of the steering wheel on a car is to keep the temperature warm even when it’s cold outside. As soon as you put your hands on the steering wheel in the winter, it makes you nervous. That’s why there are cars with heated steering wheels, so you don’t feel that way. Because of this, the driver will have a more comfortable and smooth ride. The heating process keeps going until the driver can feel enough heat to drive the car properly.

The goal is to keep the hands of the driver warm enough. It means that you should never wear gloves when you drive because they might not let your hands feel enough heat. It’s best to handle and work on the steering wheel with your bare hands, not your gloves.
